Lie Detector Testing

Lie Detector Testing

England & Wales £499. Scotland £699.

LocalPI are the UK's leading lie detector test provider. APA accredited. Associate members of the AAPP.

How It Works

When a client initially calls and speaks to our case managers they will be asked a number of questions to ensure that they will be suitable to undertake a test, the reason for the test will also be discussed in order to ensure that the test is viable.

A lie detector test will normally take between two to three hours and consists of three stages: The ‘Pre-test’, the ‘in-test’ and the ‘post-test’.

During the Pre-test the examiner will explain the process of the test, how the lie detector instrument works as well as discuss an examinees medical, physiological and psychological background. During the pre-test the reason for the examination will also be discussed in detail.

Fully Qualified Examiners

If you need a conclusive answer to an issue or if you need to prove your innocence then a polygraph examination is the answer.

All {LocalBranch:BusinessName} polygraph examiners are trained to the highest standard at the New England Polygraph Institute in the United States. Head of our polygraph department, Carrie Austin, and our senior examiner, Richard Hulett, are fully qualified and both members of the American Polygraph Association.

No Surprise Questions

During the In-test phase the examiner will review with the examinee all the questions that will be asked during the actual testing. An examinee will never ask surprise questions during the test. Next an acquaintance test will be conducted, this is a short test to ensure the instrument is adjusted to the examinees physiology and help the examinee understand the process. Finally the actual testing will be conducted and the reviewed questions will be asked.

During the Post-test the examiner will have reviewed the data collected during the in-test phase, and examiner will discuss the test and give an examinee the opinion of Truthful, Deceptive or Inconclusive.

Lie Detector Test Questions

We will always recommend that an examinee is only tested on a single issue as this provides the most accurate form of testing. While it is possible to test an individual on multiple issues, a client should consider the most important aspect of the investigation in order to establish that an examinee is subjected to the best possible testing methods.
